Farryl bolsters Viivi and tenderly helps her into his car. Viivi’s distraught state unveils her vulnerable condition and explains how lonely she has felt lately. She thought Hailey had really wanted to be her friend and laments her condition. Farryl brings Viivi home and offers to help her inside. Viivi protests the notion and insists to go inside entirely on her own.

Over the weekend, Hailey has the time to recount in depth what occurred. Amidst the chaos of the assault, she had realized her heart's yearning and is able to confide to him about her feelings of Farryl. He requests time to think about it as he is much more concerned about his sister and cannot give her a proper answer at the time. Hailey meekly nods and turns away, wracked with guilt of Viivi's suffering and feeling worse to selfishly be thinking only of herself.

After the weekend, Viivi returned to school as a radically changed person. She has lost her quiet demeanour in exchange for a callous, heartless appearance. Hailey attempts to muster the courage to approach Viivi but is aggressively brushed off with no regard. The new change has resulted in a shift from the bullies picking on Viivi to pursuing Hailey as a now less intimidating and more satisfying target. Viivi's new visage is viewed as too intimidating for even her most frequent of bullies. Her assailants even took no chance of visual contact in fear to be suspended from school or expelled at the best of outcomes coursing through their minds.
